Apples latest update of its iOS software comes every year bringing new features, this year is no different.
One of the features in the latest installment is Wi-Fi assist. Wi-Fi assist will automatically use your cellular data if it happens to be faster than the Wi-Fi network that you are currently in. Not good news for someone with poor Wi-Fi. You could be using your data allowance without even knowing it.
This could cause users to build up serious bills in data charges if you aren’t on an “all you can eat data” package.
But don’t worry, help is at hand.
Wi-Fi assist can be easily turned off to avoid this issue, simply go to settings > mobile data/cellular > scroll down to the very bottom and untick the option. It may just save you a fortune
